1944 SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE HELLO 1

3 comments:

  1. Hi there! I'm designing a book for a college course on one of the original editors of Seventeen magazine. I'm having extreme difficulty getting a hold of one of the early issues to get some good scans of unique layouts of the magazine. I was wondering if there was any way you could help me out? I'm desperate! I would love to be able to incorporate several full spread scans like the one from above. If you think you have some spare time to help me out, please shoot me an email at ecowdrey@collegeforcreativestudies.edu.

    Thank you!

  2. Hi Emily! Welcome! Have you visited my corbyfans.multiply.com website yet? There's lots of related stuff there that might help. Which editor are you looking into? Yes, I will do what I can for you. I will be in touch by email soon.

  3. Hi AngoraSox, my grandmother worked as a model in 1944-45 (mostly for Vogue, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, & Mademoiselle) and I recently discovered she was in the very first issue of Seventeen. She's in the Revlon ad on the carousel. Those early issues are hard to find so I'm hoping you can help me find other photos of her :) My email is musicole@optonline.net
