- Welcome to all! As a hobby, I collect vintage fashion magazines and enjoy sharing the collection with others. These images are still very difficult to find on the internet in abundance and as large, clear scans. I experience a lot of laughter, artistic satisfaction and insight as I muse about the content of these images. However, as the Spanish proverb goes, "Unshared joy is an unlighted candle." What maturity most of these books listed in 1944 indicate. Some of them can even be found today at Amazon. You can get a quickie history lesson just reading the descriptions. How charming that the fluff reading is actually labeled the "Cream puff department". LOL I break out into the biggest smile over the Carol On Broadway book review saying, "Realistic fare for embryo Katherine Cornells." But can you imagine a new hardbound book costing 2-dollars?
