- Welcome to all! As a hobby, I collect vintage fashion magazines and enjoy sharing the collection with others. These images are still very difficult to find on the internet in abundance and as large, clear scans. I experience a lot of laughter, artistic satisfaction and insight as I muse about the content of these images. However, as the Spanish proverb goes, "Unshared joy is an unlighted candle." Katharine Hepburn starring in the film Dragon Seed, based on the best selling novel by Pearl S. Buck. Hepburn plays a Chinese woman. Huh? The few genuine Chinese in the cast mostly play Japanese characters! "East by West casting", a product of its time, someone should remake this film with correct casting. It's a wonderful story with a very strong female lead.
